ARRIBA! 2 - 2 Silas Beavers

In the 4v4 Champions League we drew Silas Beavers; who incidentally went on to win it, and we were expecting to get turned over. My mind is a bit fuzzy on this, but I believe we went 2-0 up. We were definitely winning, as Aidan scored an own goal with about 10 seconds to go to make it 2-2 :aidan:

Similarly, Deadly Monkees had an unexpectedly good CL run in our first outing when Aidan was on holiday and I was deputising. We even beat Slackers at one point. When he came back (for the quarter final?) we lost 4-3 to Nerdlucks. I'm not saying it was his fault but it definitely was

I don't think so, I might be mistaken but I think this was before you joined Arriba. I seem to think Jonny was in net

Shame all the CL archives are gone - much more difficult to find anything.

Arriba were certainly the first UK team to show they could compete in CL. Before them every UK team lost by about 10 goals.

Reminds me of another. While FM was still a 3v3 league we entered CL in 4v4 format and had to play Nerdlucks in our first ever competitive 4v4 game. They had the likes of Aguero10 Nesquik Rene etc, we only lost 3-2. Was our first ever streamed game too iirc, with about 150 watching
